Accommodation

A number of events are taking place at central accommodation locations during Welcome Week. These are open to all students living in university accommodation or partner accommodation. 

Walking buses will be provided to get to the following events at the Vale Village: 

• Wednesday 25^th September – Open Air cinema
• Saturday 28^th September – Freshers Finale

You’ll find details below on where to meet to join the Walking bus for each event. 

Locations furthest from the events will require an actual bus trip but again we will meet you and show you to the bus stops and make sure you get to the event in good time. 

We recognise that students like to choose their own departure times, so you can leave the event at whatever time suits you and make your own way home. If you are uncertain about travelling back to your hall, speak to one of the event staff. Guild Residence Life team and Welcome team staff will be available at each event.

Travel Pass

Did you know that you can obtain a free four-week travel pass as a new student or a discounted travel pass as a returning student? You may want to get one of these passes before the events. Visit the University’s Sustainable Travel page to find out more about these options.
