Black Voices

Activities

The Black Voices Campaign aims to provide Black Students at the University of Birmingham with a platform to discuss and campaign on the issues that impact their lives. Black Students at the University of Birmingham are 15% less likely to graduate with a ‘good degree’ and are 10% less satisfied with their experience studying here.

While COVID-19 prevented us from holding many of the events we had intended to, the launch event and research we have completed so far has led to the development of a Black Voices Manifesto.

Our next priority will be reaching out to even more students, and campaigning for this manifesto to be implemented and for the voices of Black Students to be heard, understood and acted on across the University. If you want to get involved, keep an eye out for future events or email campaigns@guild.bham.ac.uk.
