Star Wars Taster Screening: 7pm - 10pm; University House 103; Join us for our first screening of the year where we will be watching a film that has been voted for BY YOU! If you would like to vote, make sure to come and see us at the society fair on Wednesday 24th September.

Pole Fitness taster sessions: 11am - 3pm; Underground/ dance studio; Your first step into the world of pole - fun, friendly, and free for beginners!

Netball Taster: 1pm - 2pm; Bournbrook Pitches; Come along to our taster and see what Wednesday training is all about!

ELSA Taster Event: 4pm - 6pm; Introduction to our society, presentation about ELSA and our activities which will include drinks and pizza from Joe's bar

Debate Night: 6pm - 8pm; Guild of Students; A debate night held by the Birmingham University Labour Society in the Guild Council Chambers on Thursday 2nd October

BWEMS Fresher's Event: 7pm - 9pm; Medical School; A nice evening of introductions, quizzes and free pizza to get to know our society!

Taster Session 1: 7pm - 8:30pm; G08, University House; This will be our first session of the year! This is a taster session, where our members from last year will deliver 3 prepared speeches and we will have impromptu speeches for everyone to participate in!

Stanage Freshers Trip: 3rd October 6pm - 5th October 8pm; Thorpe Farm Bunkhouse and Stanage Edge; Our Freshers Outdoor Climbing Trip to Stanage Edge in the Peak District. 2 days packed full of climbing with social activities in the evenings.

Tour of Birmingham City Centre: 1pm - 4pm; Birmingham City Centre; Welcome to LATAM UOB, We will be running a tour of Birmingham city centre to introduce many of you to the iconic British city and help you out for future reference as a student here. Expect to meet new people and to make new friends, Nos vemos!

Canal Walk 2025: 4:30pm - 7pm; Birmingham; Join us on a walk from the University into the city centre along the canal towpath which closely follows the Cross City line. Get to know your local area by coming along for a light-hearted stroll.

Thu 9th October

Games and Quizzes!: 5pm - 7pm; Mermaid Bar; Come along and try out our cheese-themed quizzes, games, books, and more! If that's not your speed, we have cheese and drinks, and you can grab a table in the corner and chat or make some friends. Feel free to come and go as you please!

BrumMUN 2026: 14th March 9:30am - 15th March 5:30pm; University of Birmingham; We are proud to present the second iteration of BrumMUN! Delegates come from all over the country to create resolutions to global issues, from environmental to security. It's a brilliant oppurtunity to practice diplomacy and resolution building.
