LATAM Society election season is here!!!
While nominations and voting will happen online through the Guild website, we are hosting a Manifesto Night where candidates can introduce themselves, share their ideas, and convince you why they should be part of next year’s committee.
Think of it as a light-hearted LATAM Society version of a political debate. Candidates running for different committee roles will briefly present their plans, explain what they would like to do for the society next year, and answer questions from members.
If you are thinking about running for a position, remember that nominations are self-submitted online. This means you can nominate yourself for a role and then come to the event to present your manifesto and campaign for votes.
Positions available include:
-President
-Vice President
-Secretary
-Treasurer
-Social Media Secretary
-Social Officer
Members are encouraged to attend, listen to the candidates, ask questions, and get a sense of everyone’s ideas before voting opens.
And because no election debate is complete without good food, pizza will be provided while you watch the campaigns unfold.
Whether you are running for a role or just coming to watch the debate, it should be a fun way to hear everyone’s ideas and help shape the future of LATAM Society.
