Were're hosting a sport's day an exciting and action-packed Charity Sports Day in partnership with Sickle Cell Charity, bringing the community together for a day of fun, fitness, and fundraising in support of those living with sickle cell disease. The event will feature a fantastic lineup of activities including relay races, tug of war, football, sack races, and obstacle courses, welcoming participants of UoB and external members and abilities to get involved and make a difference. Individuals can sign up to compete, by paying an entry fee. Sponsorship pledges, and on-the-day donations going directly toward the charity's vital wor will also be encouraged, this is all going towards Sickle Cell Charity to aid in funding specialist medical research and patient support programmes to raising awareness about this often misunderstood condition. Refreshments and food will keep the atmosphere buzzing throughout the day, while a representative from the charity will be on hand to share information, answer questions, and highlight the real impact awareness coupled with fundraising can make.together, we can help improve the lives of those affected by sickle cell disease and ensure no one faces this journey alone.
