I want to maximise both opportunity and fun for our students throughout the year! Some of my manifesto points include:
I will introduce monthly Industry Networking Nights, bringing together students, alumni, and professionals in relaxed, student-focused spaces, combining industry insight talks with genuine networking opportunities.
Employment and experience are so vital to students currently, so I will work to expand local partnerships with Birmingham employers, brokering short, flexible, CV boosting projects. Alongside this I want to increase student exclusive jobs around campus, responding directly to the student demand for accessible paid work.
Finally, I am committed to getting the most out of our space here at the Guild for our students. I want this to be an active and fun space for everyone. I believe there should be an event every night for our students, that is reliable, enjoyable and safe. Moreover, I want to make FAB fabulous again, creating a genuinely exciting student night, with a wider variety of programming that reflects our diverse student body!
