As an Officer, I want to help create a sporting environment where every student feels welcome, supported and able to take part regardless of their background, experience, or circumstances.
My priority for next year is to make sport more inclusive and accessible by reducing barriers to participation, improving awareness of available support, and creating more opportunities for students to get involved at all levels.
I would like to strengthen support for sports clubs and student-led initiatives, ensuring they have the guidance and resources needed to deliver great experiences for their members. I am also passionate about expanding social sport, themed events, and accommodation-based competitions that help students build friendships and a sense of belonging.
Alongside this, I want to work closely with clubs, UB Sport, and student leaders to increase participation opportunities, celebrate student achievements, and ensure sport remains a positive, enjoyable, and rewarding part of university life for as many students as possible.
