Lee Waterhouse

As your Trans and Nonbinary Students’ Officer, my main goal is to represent trans students, amplifying your voices to achieve positive change for our community.

Most notably, I hope to fix the University’s “preferred name” system, making it more consistent, and easier to change your preferred name in university and Guild systems.

I would also like to build a stronger trans community at uni by organising regular and varied socials/events for trans* students to connect with each other in an inclusive environment.

Additionally, I aim to create and publish resources for trans students, exploring topics such as navigating university life, gender affirming healthcare in the local area, and mental health. This will go together with making the Guild’s existing support systems more explicitly trans inclusive.
