What would you like to achieve in your role as an Officer this year?

Some of my manifesto aims include:

- Establishing liberation working groups chaired by each PTO and attended by their corresponding communities to help address key on-campus issues and deficiencies in student feedback.
- Enhance the Guild’s cost of living initiatives by listening to the needs of students and reducing barriers to essential support.
- Continue to lobby local MP’s and UOB staff to ensure the surrounding community’s safety and hospitality – including tailored guidance on student tenancy rights, and familiarisation of the support and resources available from the Security team, Guild Advice, etc.
- Improving the efficiency of wellbeing support on campus – creating clear, accessible signposts to wellbeing services, improving availability of health and safety essentials across campus, tailoring support available to help with housing, cost of living, visa-related concerns, etc.

Last year I worked as the part-time Disabled Student’s’ Officer, and this year I’m looking to continue supporting our current DSO on these projects full-time.
