Hi! We're Kurdish Society, also known as KurdSoc! We're a student-run society at the University of Birmingham! Do you want to explore Kurdish foods, culture, music, tradition or just try something new? Well UoB KurdSoc is for you :)  UoBKurdSoc welcomes everyone and anyone to join the society, all ethnicities and backgrounds are welcomed!

How to Join

• Log into the Guild website using your university credentials. 
• Purchase your KurdSoc membership!
• Keep up to date with events on IG: @uobkurdsoc and the Whatsapp groupchat (link to join on our insta!)
• Come to our events if you're available! Everyone's welcome and we're keen to meet you all!

Why should I become a member?

• Some events will be ticketed - but will be free or discounted for our members! Becoming a member allows you to save money throughout the year. 
• Unlock freebies at some of our events! Help yourselves to snacks and drinks at our events if you're a member. 

When are KurdSoc events? 

• Your committee are hard at work planning your events for the year. 
• Events are generally run on Wednesday afternoons, as this is when the university timetables allow students time for extra-curriculars. 
• Events will be run during term time, on a bi-weekly basis (one event every 2 weeks).
