What We Do We campaign for human rights on campus. We are affiliated with the global Amnesty International movement and coordinate our campaigns across the UK, often collaborating with other universities and in conjunction with Amnesty campaigns. We meet weekly as well as hosting society collaborations, socials, and events. Amnesty International has used the expertise of many dedicated professionals, such as lawyers and journalists, to help protect innocent people from devices of control and cruelty. With around 10 million supporters, our university society does its part to campaign alongside Amnesty. Current Members 2025/26
= How You Can Get Involved We hold weekly meetings where we campaign, petition, and fundraise for various human rights issues, allowing students to vote on a campaign focus each academic year. We create resources, stage protests, hosting our podcast, and even organise live music events and a charity ball. Joining our society invites you into a community of like-minded students who want to advocate for change and support the local and global community.
Our Campaign Every year, we hold a democratic vote on an issue that our members feel most passionate about. Get involved this year to vote for our campaign! In previous years, we have campaigned for Refugee Rights, Climate Action, Stop the Killer Robots and Let's Talk About Yes.
