Meetings on Monday evening in University House
A first aid society linked with St John Ambulance (SJA), we aim to give members an opportunity to experience and learn first aid!
Our society is also a student-run SJA unit, which provides those who choose to join with several opportunities, the most common of which is volunteering at events up and down the country, both large and small! In the past year our volunteers have provide the highest quality of first aid cover at Birmingham Pride, Edgbaston cricket and London Marathon to name a few. It's not all big events, as we can be found roaming events at the Vale, university open days and local fates. As well as events cover SJA have several opportiunities for you to get involved, these include (but are not limited to):
- Fundraising to raise money for SJA's lifesaving activites
- Getting involved with Cadets and Badgers to teach the next generation vital First Aid and life skills.
- Logistics: ensuring events and training runs smoothly and safely.
- Outreach programs in local communities and schools to ensure that first aid is known.
