UoB Tamil Society provides a platform to unite Tamil students from different religious and geographical locations. Tamil is more than just a language; it represents a rich culture which this society aims to embrace.

UoB Tamil society will put on several events such as movie nights, nights out and games nights. Ranging from football training and Tamil lessons to dance performances and workshops, we offer learning opportunities welcome to members and non-members of all abilities! We take a lot of pride in how well our society thrives and represents the University of Birmingham in larger scale events such as Kings of Gaana (KOG) and Kireedam. In fact, we've won two dance competitions, first in 2017 at the Tamil Dance Competition (TDC) and then in 2020 at Showdown! UoB Tamil society has something to offer everyone whether you are a Tamil or not, so don’t hesitate to join!
