Want to get to know other disabled students in a quieter environment? Come along to Calm and Connect, where we’ll have chilled out activities, and a calm social space.
There will be information on what support is available to you at UoB. Refreshments will be available as well as FREE sensory bags!
This event is open to all disabled students regardless of whether your disability is visible, invisible, medically diagnosed, or disclosed to the university.
Accessibility:
- The venue is accessible for wheelchair users via lifts. Look out for directional signage across the Guild to assist you.
- There will be a designated quiet table for those who wish to enjoy the event at their own pace. Headphones welcome!
- This event has limited capacity, once we reach full capacity, nobody else will be able to enter the event, unless someone else leaves. So please make sure you arrive on time to avoid disappointment or waiting in the queue!
UoB Student ID Cards: If you have one, please ensure that you bring your student ID card (and e-ticket if applicable) to this event and present this on entry. If you are a new student who hasn’t yet collected their Student ID Card, you can provide a member of staff with your 7 digit student ID number instead, which will have been emailed to you by the University. If you are not sure of your student ID number, don't worry, please still come to our event!
