After careful consideration, the Guild Officer Group has decided not to attend Birmingham Pride 2025.
This decision has been made due to concerns regarding the ethical practices of some of the event's sponsors.
We have engaged in discussions with the LGBTQ+ Students' Officer and the LGBTQ+ Association about this matter and we believe it is in the best interest of the Guild and our community to stand united in this decision.
We want to reaffirm our strong and continued support for the LGBTQ+ community. While we will not be attending Birmingham Pride this year, we are actively looking to attend alternative events and opportunities to show our support for the community and continue advocating for inclusivity and equality.
