The University of Birmingham, Guild of Students has welcomed the results of the National Student Survey (NSS), noting significant improvements to its score.
The Guild achieved 71.6% satisfaction in the 2025 survey which is a notable increase compared to 2024. The Guild’s Student Rep System supports over 1400 students to raise student voices and improve their courses. Student Reps have worked on a huge range of issues, and have helped to improve feedback, strengthen communication on their courses and ensured minimum standards of teaching.
The Guild supports almost 400 student-led societies that help students meet new people and discover new hobbies. The results show the Guild has a positive impact in supporting and facilitating these student groups and the student experience.
The Guild also works closely with the University to deliver support to students in a number of areas, including wellbeing and mental health and student voice, both of which saw the highest increase in scores compared to 2024.
Alex Keen, Education Officer 2024-25 said: "We are pleased to celebrate these positive improvements and are committed to working with students and the University of Birmingham to build on these positive results."
